Keep Your Quality Regulars During the Busy Season, Bar Restaurant
Keep Your Quality Regulars, Bar Restaurant
Imagine that you have been patronizing a Bar restaurant for 9 months of the year and then in July, August and September you are almost ignored by your hosts.
How would you feel?
Well I’d feel angry, rejected and let down. It’s not your hosts fault that they are really busy in the tourist season, but it still makes Regulars feel abandoned, if they don’t have time to attend to you properly.
OK! So if you are the owner of the Bar Restaurant, what can you do to alleviate the situation?
This is how Ines and I handle it
- Apologise for being so busy and not being able to give them the normal level of attention.
- Even when we’re rushed off our feet we still say hello when guests arrive and cheerio and thank you, as they leave.
- Each time we rush past their table we give them a smile.
- During their visit to our bar restaurant we make sure to ask one relevant question about their children, parents, pets or something along those lines.
If you follow this simple advice you may keep your regulars throughout the summer, but even if they drift off to a more secluded bar restaurant, there’s a strong chance that they’ll return to patronize your bar come late September.
Ignore them during your busy months and you’ll be looking at a sad till roll come Autumn.
