How Busy is Summer – Bar Restaurant Spain?
Our Bar Restaurant is on the Costa del Sol,which is Spain’s most upmarket tourist area.
Because of the special climate here the area attracts people for about 9 months of the year.
Autumn and Spring are great times for golf and tennis, so those Bar Restaurants like ours which are open 11 months per year survive on the local Spanish and ex-pat trade in the winter and then get busier with the arrival of the golf and tennis players and the regular tourists who simply don’t want the extreme heat of summer.
What about Summer?
July, August and September we are so busy that our feet don’t touch the ground.
It is in the summer months that we make a lot of profit, which we can save so that we have plenty to see us through the winter.
Summer on the Costa del Sol for a bar owner is hard and intense, but the profits are very good indeed.
