Fresh Fruit – Fresh Ideas

Fresh Fruit – Fresh Ideas
In Spain, fresh fruit is both plentiful and cheap so we use a lot in our bar restaurant for juices, salads and mixed fruit deserts, but don’t make the mistake of hiding it away in the fridge.
Always use what you have in stock to form or add to a display. When a customer arrives at your bar he/she may only be intending to have a gin and tonic or perhaps a beer, but most people are like myself, and lacking self control are easily tempted to spend a bit more money on a nice avocado salad or anything else on display that makes their mouths water.
So fruit, as it provides such a range of vivid colours to your bar restaurant will add to your decor, whilst at the same time encouraging clients to eat where perhaps they otherwise would have made do with a liquid lunch.
I would also like to give a mention to house pants and indoor trees, like orange and even lemon, which because of the fantastic climate here on the Costa del Sol are quick and easy to grow.
It’s not unusual here to see quite a large tree growing inside a restaurant with its branches clipped to the ceiling beams. Customers love to sit and eat and drink surrounded by such wonderful displays of nature.
